The Authors’ Festival is CCBF’s window for the promotion of the world’s most acclaimed children’s content creators.

The Authors’ Festival is CCBF’s window for the promotion of the world’s most acclaimed children’s content creators. Already at its sixth edition, it offers a select number of foreign writers and illustrators the opportunity to engage with their Chinese peers, meet their young readers and discover Shanghai’s bustling literary scene. Concretely, the festival translates into 50 events that take place every year over nearly a week at the book fair and around town, as part of CCBF's “Connecting the City” initiative.

The Authors Festival is synonym of quality children’s literature. This year, the Festival will feature twelve authors. Each of them embodies a genre, a style, a culture, and their great books address different ages range as to highlight the great diversity found in contemporary children’s books.
