  • The Shanghai International Children’s Book Fair (CCBF) is the only event approved by State General Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television (Former GAPP) dedicated to the copyright trading, author promotion, reading advocacy, publishing, printing and distribution in contents for 0- to 16-year-olds, including books, magazines, audiovisual material and recreational and educational services.

The 2013 CCBF ended on 9 November after three days of vibrant activities, which attracted 154 exhibitors from 15 different countries and 17,400 visitors from 26 countries and regions. The show received widely positive feedback not only from the nearly 5,000 professionals who attended – a diverse range of publishers, distributors, foreign rights agents, authors, illustrators, booksellers, librarians and other publishing specialists – but also from the general public, who gave it a particularly warm welcome.

More than 50,000 titles went on show and more than 1,000 foreign and Chinese guests were gathered at the fair, where they had over 100 forums and discussions on copyright trading, author promotion and reading advocacy events to choose from. CCBF is the place to develop your rights business, discover the latest in children’s contents and expand your commercial channels. It is also a unique chance to engage with industry specialists and profit from their insights into current trends and figures.

The second edition of the CCBF will be held from 20 to 22 November at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition Center and will once again be a feast of children’s publications for industry professionals and young readers to enjoy. Supported by the official Chinese publishing-related bodies, the 2014 CCBF will offer a rich agenda of activities and opportunities to meet key players at all levels of the publishing industry with the aim of stimulating international rights trading, opening up new sales and distribution channels for chidren’s publications and, ultimately, expanding partnerships in the global market.
