Spotlight on New Books is an initiative launched by the Shanghai International Children's Book Fair (CCBF) in 2025 to foster global exchange and promote the international reach of high-quality original children's books, establishing a premier launchpad focused on the Asia-Pacific region with global resonance.
This year, the platform has selected 260 new titles for the year from Chinese and international publishing houses, which are showcased in a core area of the fair. All selected works will gain visibility among publishers, copyright agents, distributors, and media through a blend of online promotional campaigns and onsite exhibition, helping them access both domestic and global market efficiently.
Furthermore, the platform will feature a selection of outstanding original Chinese works at the 2027 Bologna Children's Book Fair, with the aim of fostering copyright collaborations, expanding global distribution channels and promoting Chinese original content worldwide.
